Hi! I’m Shel Rodriguez
There are never too many crochet hooks or knitting needles. There is never too much yarn. There is only too little space.
I have spent way too much of my life googling patterns and how-tos online for what I’m looking for and never finding it, that I decided to start a blog to get all the information in one place from the basics to the most advanced techniques for all my yarn hobbies – crocheting, knitting, and machine knitting.
When I was very little, my grandmother taught me how to crochet. To this day I’ll never know why, as she didn’t seem to like to crochet, as I only ever saw her knit. Eventually, I asked her how to knit, and learned the basics – but I was too far into crocheting by then and didn’t pick up knitting again until I was older. My aunt is a machine knitter and would make the most amazing, personalized gifts. She was kind enough to gift me a starter knitting machine a few years ago. I’ve since acquired 8 more machines and have learned how to fully dismantle, clean, troubleshoot, and in many cases repair them.
